The HAN celebration was attended by 1,500 children in Solo from various schools.
Head of the Solo Department of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB), Purwanti, said that 1,500 children attended gymnastics and cheerful performances for Indonesian children.
"There were 1,500 children attending from pre-school, kindergarten, state elementary school, private elementary school, state junior high school, private junior high school. Students were chosen from the Education Department," she said
Solo was chosen because it was able to maintain the title of KLA in the main category for 2023 by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA). Previously, the KLA Award in the main category was won by Solo for six consecutive years since 2016 because Solo succeeded in realizing the fulfillment of children's rights and involving children in development programs.
Solo Children's Day event was also attended by the family of Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming, along with his wife Selvi Ananda, who brought along Jan Ethes and La Lembah Manah. Karel Anderson as Chair of the Indonesian Children's Performance Event said, "This event commemorating Children's Day in Solo is also a warning so that all groups can participate in creating a healthy and brilliant future generation.
